Let’s Prepare & Be Ready – OPTIMA FAMILY TRIP #3
A cyclist circle is always full of real friends, and the friendship between us is so great that it makes us more like a family that are willing to go for a ride anywhere together – to the mountain or the river, anywhere. This time we Optima Family will ride with you to experience the beauty of a historical site called ‘Chulachomklao Fort’. If you’re ready, then let’s go!
Those who have been around in the bicycle scene for a while must have heard of Optima. Optima is a one-stop manufacturer of bicycles and bicycles parts with years of experience and advanced technology that allow it to manufacture performance bicycles to the international standard. The development of all bicycle models and parts is aimed at addressing the needs of cyclists on top of their phenomenal designs. It is no surprise to anyone that Optima has become as understanding of the cyclists as they are of themselves.

(OPTIMA FAMILY No.1, 20 March 2016)
Making premium and performance bicycles is the goal of Opitma, and what is the goal of cyclists like us? We have talked to so many cyclists and seen how they set their different goals. Many cycle just for exercises while some want to go for the distance. Many ride in order to see places from a different point of view while some aim for trophies. They all have different reasons to ride depending on their interests and lifestyles. This trip is meant to be supportive of the cyclists just like their families and inspire them to build a good attitude, courage, and perseverance, which are essential to cycling trainings – both for pros and beginners.

(OPTIMA FAMILY No.1, 20 March 2016)

It is good to start the bike tour with our Family at a sport center that offers activities for families. In Bangmod, Chaloem Phrakiat Sport Training Center is the first to cross our minds as it is a spacious sport center that offers space for a variety of sports for everyone – from volleyball, basketball, futsal, and swimming. The membership fee is quite reasonable with 40 baht per year for adults and 20 baht per year for those under 18 of age. The sport center is open every day – from 5 o’clock in the morning for outdoor areas and 10 o’clock for indoor areas to 9 o’clock in the afternoon. It is so available to any family who would like to spend time together.

Leave the sport center, turn left and ride down the street for two kilometers you’ll come across an intersection. Turn left into the side-street and ride a bit more carefully as the side-street is always full of cars. Along the street you’ll notice a number of local restaurants, which might make your mouth water, but keep in mind that it’s not time yet; we’re not here for this.
Ride for another 5 kilometers you’ll reach the Prachauthit Road, go for another 800 meters and turn right, and another 700 meters, then turn left. The sky will be quite clear with small groups of clouds, looking like an artist is painting a piece of artwork right in front of us. On both sides of the street lies a greenish view, beautiful and impressive. Riding through the nature’s touch and listening to the birds singing on such a lovely day will make you relaxed and help you replenish your energy.

What the visitors who come to visit here will experience are the tranquility and a simple way of life by which the people are invariably kind and generous to each other like they are a single family. They are just like us – Optima Family – who always share what we have: water, food, routes, and bicycle parts when needed. These acts of kindness are always moving and touching, while at the same time making people learn more about life.

Enjoy the air and then turn right at the Kilometer 9 Junction onto Prachauthit Road. The road might be a bit too small but it’ll be fine as long as you don’t go too fast. On the way you’ll find flower shops that sell and export Christ’s thorns, a gorgeous ornamental plant, to neighboring and European countries. Each year the flowers bring a lump sum of money back to the country – just like Optima who keeps manufacturing quality bicycles for exports.

We are now about to reach the first 10 km and from here to our destination ‘Chulachomklao Fort’. Let’s catch up in the next article at OPTIMA TALK – Let’s Prepare & Be Ready – OPTIMA FAMILY TRIP #3 (Ep. 2)”.
